AbandonedMines.gov is the unified voice of the Federal Mining Dialogue (FMD), which is comprised of U.S. federal environment and land management agencies. The FMD oversees the environmental, health, and safety impacts of abandoned mine lands across the country.
Challenge
Migrate and host the Abandoned Mine website to the BLM's Enterprise Drupal Platform.
Solution
Our team rehosted this website on the BLM National Operations Center (NOC)’s Enterprise Drupal Platform, completing tasks such as standing up environments and databases, migrating content, configuring the site domain and certificates, validating network, firewall, and DNS settings, and setup permissions for new Content Maintainers. Performed development changes to meet new functional requirements from the Federal Mining Dialogue (FMD) AML Web Communications Subcommittee and ensured government standards and policies are met. Provided a range of operations and maintenance support including site monitoring, patching, website analytics, vulnerability scanning, and backup support.
