Background
Developed for The Bureau of Land Management's (BLM), the Labor and Ops Plan application was designed to develop and track an internal spend plan for labor and operations. This tool assists with the Planning Target Allocation/Annual Work Plan, helping BLM divisions to manage their budgets more effectively.
Challenges
BLM divisions previously faced challenges in tracking their budget and managing funds efficiently. The process was manual, prone to errors, and lacked a unified system that could provide real-time data on the availability of funds. This often resulted in inefficiencies and delays in financial planning and resource allocation.

Additionally, we introduced operational and maintenance support, improving the application’s functionality to eliminate many of the manual processes previously required. These efforts promoted data integrity and efficient budget handling, providing a single, reliable source for budget management and planning.
